Work Experience

1967 – 1976 Betokem AS, Pioneer Company in the area of admixtures for concrete, special dry mortars and other chemical for the building industry.
Working as chemical engineer, occupied with concrete admixtures and special dry mortars. Involved with these product range as the main supplier on every concrete offshore structures built in Norway during that time.
Product development, technical service, marketing in Norway and Sweden. The last years responsible for this department.
1976 – 1986 Rescon AS, Technical Manager and one of the founders of this company, holding 45 % of the shares at that time.
Responsible for the evaluation and building up department for concrete admixtures and department of special mortars. product development, technical service and marketing.
Introduced superplastisizers as a part of high strength concrete, additional types of retarders and special admixture for under water concreting etc. Participated in introduction of Steel-fiber for shotcrete, new technology in grouting of rocks etc.
Brought Rescon up to the leading company in this area in Norway.
1986 – 2006 CMC AS, Founder and main shareholder of this consulting company in the field of cement and concrete technology, specialized on concrete and mortar mix design s. Participated in construction of several offshore platforms built by Norwegian Contractors.
Responsible for concrete mix design and production during construction of The Protective Barrier around the Ekofisk Tank the very first concrete platform in the North Sea.
Concrete Engineer for other major projects:

  1. The Subcontractors AF HEIDRUN FUNDAMENTER and AF TROLL OLJE PLATFORM at KVÆRNER CONCRETE CONSTRUCTIONS AS, during the construction of the 4 Foundations for the Heidrun Platform(Conoco) and the Troll Olje Platform( Norsk Hydro)
  2. Øresund Tunnel Contractors, Copenhagen, Nordhavnen, for the tunnel element construction.
  3. NCC AS, Snøhvit, LNG tank construction; Statoil, Hammerfest
  4. The Subcontractor JV BBNCC at CBI, LNG tank constructions at Isle of GRAIN, UK
Work authorities and responsibilities; Planned, organized and managed all activities that was necessary to produce concrete with the required quality and worked out procedures and checklists, control correct use and in that way assist in updating/qualifying/certifying production personnel.

Summary of Experience

1967 – 2006 This means more than 40 years practical experience and to a high degree one of the most responsible for technical development within this special field in Scandinavia.
May lectures within his special field arranged by Norwegian Society of Chartered Engineers and participating in course committees and committees for Norwegian Concrete Association.
